The Chimeiano
This instrument is called the “Chimeiano.”

I used wood, hook screws, German chimes, wire, tape, wooden beads and rubber.

My instrument is in the percussion family. When you hit the wire keys, the wooden balls at the end hit the chimes to produce the sound.

The design of this instrument was inspired by a piano because when you press a piano key a hammer strikes a string inside the piano. In my instrument the wire keys move a wooden ball or “hammer” which strikes a chime instead of a string to produce the sound.
