Glassphone
by Popi D.

First I took three glass bottles of various sizes. I used golden spray to paint two of them and blue watercolor paint for the last one.  Then I cut three toothpicks to fit at the bottom of each bottle lid. I tied some fishing string around the toothpicks and passed the string through a small hole that I had opened on the top of the lid.
In the meantime I made a wooden frame in the shape of the Greek letter Π (“P”) with the help of my father, who knew how to nail the wood together. I tied the fishing strings of the bottles on top of the frame so that the bottles hang in different heights.
I used small plastic baguettes to knock on the bottles. I tried other materials too, such as iron (scissors) but nothing sounded better than plastic. I was so happy with my glassphone that I also used it in the school concert!
