The Metal Melody Maker

by Destiny, Riley, and Mikayla
Central Howell School

The Metal Melody Maker is played by hitting the metal objects with a U shaped metal stick.  The metal objects are arranged from lowest to highest pitch.

We cut wood into a 3’ length and 3” width with a circular saw and parental supervision.  We drilled nine holes 3’ apart,  with a power drill.  Then we tied fishing line through the holes and around miscellaneous  metal objects found in the garage such as a drill bit, a nail, and scrap metal.  Then we used a Sharpie pen to write the name of our instrument on the wood.
